Day One!
Start your trip right — book our house for your girl’s trip! www.airbnb.com/h/rosealldayyy
Once you arrive, enjoy a chilled bottle of rose that is waiting for you in the fridge! Get dressed to go out and take plenty of pictures! This first night I’m declaring no heals - walk the city and take it all in.
First stop: Put your drink in a cup and walk to Forsyth Park one block away. This gorgeous historic park is gorgeous place to start your trip. Raise your glass and toast to friendship. Then begin walking to Peregrin.
Second stop: Peregrin. (252 East Perry Street https://peregrinsavannah.com/) This rooftop bar is situation in the middle of the historic district. Get there right before sunset for the best view of the City. After having their incredible froze, walk on over the Broughton Common for dinner.
Third Stop: Dinner at Broughton Common (118 East Broughton Street https://www.broughtoncommon.com/) This ~ instagrammable ~ hotspot has southern dining with a twist. Their gouda grits bring me JOY. Bonus points: they are locally owned and you can make reservations for big groups. After dinner, walk to the Cotton Sail Hotel’s rooftop bar, Top Deck.
Fourth Stop: Top Deck (125 West River Street, https://www.topdeckbar.com/) This rooftop bar is situation between Bay Street and River Street and directly overlooks the Savannah River. This gorgeous view let’s you see the nightlife around as well as the incredible cargo ships passing by to the port.
This is a great time to uber home to Rose All Day for the night, but if you are still up for it, check out all the bars on Bay and River Street. Plenty of fun to go around - Bay Street Blues always has karaoke and Saddle Bags always has mechanical bull riding. Something for everyone lol
Day 2
Get the day started right with breakfast/brunch at Collins Quarter Forsyth in Forsyth Park. Just a little over one block from the house, in the middle of the park behind the amphitheater.
First stop: Collins Quarter Forsyth (621 Drayton Street https://www.thecollinsquarter.com/collins-quarter-at-forsyth-park-menus) Delicious and interesting food from an Aussie turned local in Savannah. I am guilty of getting the avocado toast and kiwi-guava mimosa every time I go there (why mess with a good thing? I love it and I don’t want anything else). Honorable mention is their gyros, waffles, eggs benedict, and delicious cocktail menu.
Second stop: Savannah Slow Ride (420 West Bryan St https://savannahslowride.com/) This isn’t far away, but I would suggest ubering there - you’re going to spend the next two hours biking so might as well take a car to get there. This pedaling pub is my favorite way to travel the bars. You’ll be given a wrist band for drink specials. You’ll pedal from bar to bar with an incredible driver (or should I say steer-er?) navigating you to the hot spots. Definitely a fun way to travel and enjoy Savannah. At the end, you might want to hang out & have appetizers in all the fun Congress Street bars where the tour ends. If you’re tired of bars, it might be time to shop!
Third stop: Broughton Street shopping. A block from where you are let out of the Slow Ride on Congress Street is Broughton Street. This is the big street for shopping. We love the small and local boutiques, but there are plenty of big names for the avid shopper. My absolute favorite store is Morgan Rae Boutique (301 West Broughton Street https://www.morganraeboutique.com/) where you can find stylish clothes and accessories carefully selected and curated by Morgan (local!). Say hi for us!
Fourth stop: Home to rose all day to rest, change, drop off bags.
Fifth stop: Dinner! Get dressed up and head over the Madame Butterfly (110 West Congress Street https://www.madamebutterflysavannah.com/) This brand new restaurant is the talk of the town.
Sixth stop: Go a door down and a floor up to The Bamboo Room (116 West Congress Street https://bambooroomtikibar.com/) where the drinks are adorable and strong! This place feels like it should be in Disney it is so well designed and immersive. You can also take the same elevator up to the rooftop of Sorry Charlie’s for a rooftop bev.
Seventh Stop: Tthere are plenty of bars and fun places to go in this area if you want to have some more fun. The Rail Pub is close by and is the #1 dive bar in America. The top floor has karaoke, and the outside patio has 40s of PBR and live music most nights. Definitely worth checking out.
Day 3
Brewery Day! Two great options:
Head over to the hip Starland District for Two Tides Brewery (12 West 41st St https://www.twotidesbrewing.com/). This hipster haven has the best sour beers you will ever taste located in a renovated Victorian home. A block over is the Starland Yard foodtruck park which has different food and live bands daily (2411 Desoto Ave https://www.starlandyard.com/).
Right in between those on Desoto Ave are artist and boutique shops that you can peak in and possibly find treasure. My favorite is the very funky Graveface Records. A little bit over a block from there is Moodrights (2424 Abercorn Street https://www.moodrights.com/) which is a duck pin bowling bar.
~Other Option ~
Right near River Street is a distiller and brewer. Both give tours of the facility that are very fun and informative. Service Brewing (574 Indian Street https://servicebrewing.com/) is a veteran owned brewery that has lots of fun activities and they are known for their IPAs. Their tour does include meeting the two brewery cats which was a highlight for me. Across the street is Ghost Coast Distillary (641 Indian Street https://ghostcoastdistillery.com/) which has a fun tour, great bartenders, and stellar drinks.
If you tire of flights and tours, about two blocks from their is the new Plant Riverside District. Walk along the river, get a bite to eat, and check out the many restaurants and bars within. The Electric Moon is their rooftop bar. I haven’t checked it out but the pictures I have seen are gorgeous.
After the brewery experience, head back home and reset. Dinner at Local 11Ten is just three blocks away at the head of the park.
Second Stop: Local 11Ten for Dinner (1110 Bull Street https://www.local11ten.com/) is a bit fancy but VERY delicious.
Third Stop: Hearse Ghost Tour (http://www.hearseghosttours.com/) often times if you arrange in advance with your group, they will come pick you up in the hearse! This tour is super fun and unique. They drive you all around Savannah in a hearse (mostly around graveyards lol) and tell you spooky stories of Savannah’s past.
These are just our suggestions. There are tons of fun places in Savannah so you really can’t go wrong.
